Doping scandal can bring about change, says Sally Gunnell
Former World and Olympic champion Sally Gunnell believes the doping controversy that has engulfed athletics could provide a much-needed opportunity to clean up the sport.

Last month, The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) banned Russian athletes from international competition indefinitely, after revelations by the World Anti-Doping Agency of systematic doping and cover-ups.

"It has been really disappointing," Gunnell told Tuesday's Sportswomen show on Sky Sports News HQ.

Rhys Priestland makes U-turn over Wales selection
Bath fly-half Rhys Priestland has reversed his decision to stop playing for Wales and made himself available for the 2016 Six Nations.

Priestland joined Bath to provide top-quality cover for England No 10 George Ford and announced following the World Cup in October that he was taking an 18-month sabbatical from international rugby to concentrate on his club career.
But he has now reconsidered and Bath coach Mike Ford said: "We signed Rhys on the basis he wasn't going to play international football. But after reflecting on his decision he has decided that, if selected, he will make himself available.

Thierry Henry challenges Arsenal's 'amazing' Mesut Ozil to score more goals
Thierry Henry has praised Arsenal's Mesut Ozil for his performances this season but has challenged him to score more goals.

Ozil produced his 16th assist of the season when he crossed for Gabriel to open the scoring in the first half in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Monday before adding a superb second after the interval - his third goal of the season.

Ozil is now just four assists away from equalling the Premier League record of 20, set by Henry, in the 2002/03 season.

Man Utd fans and board could turn on Louis van Gaal, says Thierry Henry
Thierry Henry says the fans and board could soon turn on Louis van Gaal after Manchester United went an eighth game without a win.

United's 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday marked the ninth time they have not scored in all competitions this season, leaving them five points off the top four in the Premier League.

Henry says that while the performance against Chelsea was an improvement on United's 2-0 defeat at Stoke on Boxing Day, a victory needs to come quickly for Van Gaal and his side.

Who could Chelsea target in the January transfer window?
Chelsea have endured a miserable season but could they bring anyone in to change it in January?

Jose Mourinho may have written off the team's top-four chances but there has been fighting talk from Stamford Bridge since the Chelsea manager's departure.

Caretaker boss Guus Hiddink would only concede it will be "difficult", while William maintains that it is still the club's target this season.

    SWANSEA WANT BAMFORD

Swansea are considering a loan move for Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford, according to the Daily Mail.

Bamford spent the first half of the season on loan at Crystal Palace, but ended his stay at Selhurst Park on Monday after failing to break into the first-team.

Swansea have struggled for goals so far this season, with only bottom club Aston Villa scoring fewer so far.

    NAISMITH IN DEMAND

Sky sources understand that Norwich are one of a number of clubs chasing Everton forward Steven Naismith.

They had a 7million bid turned down in the summer and earlier this month Roberto Martinez admitted he would make a decision on whether the forward could leave after the busy festive period.

Naismith has struggled for game time in recent weeks due to the form of Romelu Lukaku. However, with the transfer window due to open later this week Sky sources also understand no transfer has been agreed between the clubs.

    ALLARDYCE WANTS 'ROONEY RULE'

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has called for the introduction of a "Rooney Rule" to allow home-grown managers the chance to compete with foreign imports in English football.

Allardyce will go head-to-head with one of the Premier League's newest overseas recruits on Wednesday evening when German Jurgen Klopp brings his Liverpool side to the Stadium of Light, live on Sky Sports, on Wednesday.

Allardyce said: "The problem for me is we are denying British coaches positions in all divisions now, particularly in the top division and the Championship, and we need to do something about that.

"As a country, as the FA, as the Premier League, we need to protect the position of our own highly-qualified coaches who are not even getting an interview now."
