Fulham boss Martin Jol has attempted to sign the 30-year-old midfield on several occasions before and may have finally landed the Ghana international.

Boateng is believed to be one of the unnamed players Jol said a deal had been agreed with at his pre-match press conference last week.

And the former Getafe, Cologne and Beitar Jerusalem man is reportedly set to sign a two-year contract.

The transfer was put on hold earlier this year because of a contract dispute between Boateng and Dnipro.

Fulham have already confirmed that a deal has been agreed with full-back Sascha Riether, who is to move to west London permanently after impressing during a loan stint.

Wolves midfielder Bakary Sako, Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta and Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg have also been linked with the Craven Cottage club.
