GRANT HOLT has become boss Owen Coyle’s EIGHTH summer signing at Wigan.
Last night Coyle’s Latics agreed a £2million deal with Norwich for their veteran skipper, 32.
Striker Holt will seal his switch to the DW Stadium in the next 24 hours after thrashing out personal terms on a two-year deal.
Coyle, who took over at Wigan last month, sees Holt as the experienced frontman he needs to lead to club straight back up to the Premier League.
The Carlisle-born striker had been looking to return North after falling down the pecking order at Chris Hughton’s Canaries.
He has already moved his family back to Cumbria.
Holt joins Scott Carson, Marc-Antoine Fortune, James Perch, Thomas Rogne, Chris McCann, Stephen Crainey and Mauro Boselli in Coyle’s new-look squad.
